Next month, you'll have an opportunity to show Binghamton pride worldwide, and connect to the University in a new and exciting way. The first-ever virtual Homecoming will take place Oct. 12-18, featuring interactive experiences and videos with the energy of campus and flavor of the Binghamton area.
What鈥檚 cool about our virtual Homecoming?
- You don鈥檛 have to leave the comfort of home. (Of course, we love having you on campus, but sadly not this year.) If you鈥檝e participated in Zoom meetings 鈥 who hasn鈥檛, by now 鈥 you have everything you need for virtual Homecoming.
- It鈥檚 not just sitting in front of a screen. Sure, there will be videos, but you can cook along with our demo and learn how to make a cool mixed drink. There鈥檚 also a trivia game show, and you can get out for a 5k run or walk.
- Homecoming has been expanded to a week; on campus, it would normally be a three-day event.
Our programs will also include: TIER Talks, a Fireside Chat with President Harvey Stenger, the inaugural BOLD 10 Under 10 awards presentation, an LGBTQ+ alumni event and a Netflix watch party.
Registration is open; be sure to sign up in advance so we can send you the video links you鈥檒l need. See the full schedule and register on the Homecoming website. There is no cost to participate in any of the events 鈥 other than purchasing ingredients for the cooking and mixology demonstrations!
If you have questions, contact the Office of Alumni Engagement. We can鈥檛 wait to 鈥渟ee鈥 you in October!
