Southern Tier Community Center (Children's Home)

Southern Tier Community Center (Children's Home) (Non-profit)
1 Club House Rd | Endicott, NY 13760
Once the Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome County closed its doors in 2019, it was no secret that an individual, business or organization needed to step up and purchase this pillar within the community.
Children’s Home, providing services for more than 100 years to improve the lives of children and families, sought a unique opportunity to expand our Mission.

Our Senior Management team met with our Board on numerous occasions and decided there was only one solution…with support of stakeholders and the community Children’s Home finalized the purchase of the former Boys & Girls Club of Western Broome County building, renamed “Southern Tier Community Center,” May 12, 2020.

We pursued this new venture confidently anticipating to revitalize not only the physical building, but also current programming. Nikki Post was hired as the Southern Tier Community Center Director.

With an unexpected international pandemic, some of our projects are taking longer than expected whether requiring new regulations for added safety or a shortage of items necessary to complete projects like our pool. Major revitalization plans are still in the works and underway with funding support from local foundations.

We invite you to view what the Center will look like once completed. We highly encourage members of the community to reach out, come take a tour, tell us what you would love to see and how we can be a good neighbor!
