Background

Prior to joining 黑料视频, Ahmad Ayyad taught in Palestine and the United Kingdom. His research focuses on the intersection of translation practices with contemporary conflict in the Middle East and on the interplay between modern Arabic literatures, cultures and politics. It explores how political and literary texts, along with their translations, reflect, resist, and negotiate contested narratives, dominant ideologies and power dynamics, particularly in the Middle East.

He has published in key journals such as Translation Studies, and the Journal of Language and Politics. His most recent publication is "Contested naming practices in the Palestinian鈥揑sraeli conflict: a translation perspective" (Translation Studies, 2023). He has also presented his research in the USA, UK, Qatar, Switzerland, Jordan, Belgium and France.
