Clinical Associate Professor, Occupational Therapy
Background
Bonnie Fischer-Camara joined Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences in September 2024 as a clinical associate professor in the Division of Occupational Therapy. She teaches in both the entry-level and post-professional doctor of occupational therapy programs.
Fischer-Camara specializes in inpatient and outpatient physical rehabilitation with adults and home-based and center-based services for pediatric clients and their families. She is a certified Car Seat Technician and specializes in special needs seating.
She has worked in numerous clinical settings including acute care at a Level I Trauma Center, adult inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and pediatric home care/school-based/early intervention (EI) settings. She currently provides EI services through her private practice, holds a special interest in program development, and created an EI program that delivers services in an outpatient clinic in Kingston, N.Y.
