Patima Silsupadol, PT, PhD

Background

Patima Silsupadol joined Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences in May 2022 as a visiting assistant professor in the Division of Physical Therapy.

She received her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in motor control at the University of Oregon. The focus of her graduate work was balance and cognitive training to improve dual-task balance performance in older adults.

After graduate school, she was a faculty member at the Department of Physical Therapy, Chiang Mai University, Thailand for 13 years. She further served as the head of geriatric physical therapy from 2013 to 2019. As a clinical instructor during student clinical educational experiences, she served in a variety of settings including retirement centers, temples, geriatric clinics, home healthcare and community service.
