Meet our consultants:
Sara Stowell is a PhD student in the Anthropology department, pursuing an interdisciplinary program of study which combines both biological anthropology and molecular neuroscience. Her dissertation focuses on microRNA expression in the brain and spinal cord tissue of individuals with unusual variants of amyotrophic lateral disease (ALS) and Parkinson鈥檚 disease (PD) from Guam. She has a B.S. in Integrative Neuroscience, a B.A. in Philosophy, and an M.S. in Biomedical Anthropology. She has been a TA in anthropology for six courses and an instructor of record for BIOL/EVOS 451: Current Topics in Evolutionary Studies for the biology department and evolutionary studies program for five years. She is looking forward to utilizing her multidisciplinary background to assist graduate students with various aspects of their writing.
