Wind Symphony Concerto Competition winners to perform

The winners of the first ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ Wind Symphony Concerto Competition will perform with the University Wind Symphony, under the direction of Robert Smith, at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1, in the Anderson Center Chamber Hall.
The winners and the pieces that they will perform are:
Adam Goldenberg, marimba: Paul Creston’s Concertino for Marimba and Band;
Daniel Bessel, bassoon: Burrill Phillip’s Concert Piece;
Jay Bartishevich, trombone: Lars Erik-Larrson’s Concertino for Trombone and Wind Ensemble;
Robert Muller, French horn: Richard Strauss’ Concerto for Horn in Eb, No. 7, Opus 1.
