Ricardo Ren茅 Lar茅mont edited “Revolution, Revolt and Reform in North Africa,” published by Routledge in August. The book provides an insider scholars’ account of the 2011 revolts in North Africa. Emad Shahin, Amira Aleya-Sghaier, Youssef Sawani, Azzedine Layachi and Mohamed Darif all contributed chapters. Jen Hapgood, business manager and assessment specialist for Residential Life, was recognized with the Northeast Association of College and University Housing Officers (NEACUHO) Distinguished Service Award at its annual conference in June. The award is one of the highest honors the organization bestows upon a member. In being presented with the award, Hapgood was called a quiet leader who has helped to shape NEACUHO. Her accomplishments include serving as president, working on sustainability efforts, commissioning a self-study and creating the Past President Professional Development Award.
