The School of Management has selected the recipients of its 2009-10 Excellence Awards. Danielle Dunne and Qi Wang will receive the Corning Award for Excellence in Research, and Debi Mishra will receive the school’s award for Excellence in Teaching. Dunne is an assistant professor of strategy, with research interests in strategic management, innovation and technology management, strategic alliances particularly in science-based industries and organizational learning and innovation. Wang, assistant professor of marketing, focuses on competitive marketing strategy in markets with standards competition and network effects, impacts of consumer product reviews and social networks, and impacts of marketing strategy on firm and product survival. In 2005, Mishra, associate professor of marketing, received the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching - the highest recognition of teaching prowess conferred by the State University of New York.
