University health and counseling services maintain AAAHC accreditation

黑料视频鈥檚 Decker Student Health Services Center (DSHSC) and University Counseling Center (UCC) have once again earned a three-year accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The acclaimed accreditation distinguishes the University鈥檚 health and counseling services through its adherence to rigorous standards of high-quality care and safety of 黑料视频 students.

Status as an accredited organization means that the DSHSC and UCC have met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality outpatient health care set by the AAAHC. More than 6,600 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are currently accredited by the AAAHC. DSHSC has now earned nine consecutive accreditations, spanning nearly 25 years of consecutive accreditation.

鈥淏eing AAAHC accredited is the gold standard for university health and counseling centers,鈥 said Director of Health and Counseling Services Christopher Downey. 鈥淥ur continued good standing with AAAHC is credited to the fantastic staff we have within the Decker Student Health Services Center and the University Counseling Center, as well as the great deal of support received from the University鈥檚 administration. We strive to provide the highest level of healthcare we can to our students and being accredited by AAAHC is one way we show our devotion to our campus community in regards to health and well-being.鈥

Ambulatory health care organizations seeking AAAHC Accreditation undergo an extensive self-assessment and onsite survey by AAAHC expert surveyors 鈥 physicians, nurses and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory care. The survey is peer-based and educational, presenting best practices to help organizations such as the DSHSC and

UCC improve their care and services.The process covers all aspects of care including members鈥 rights, case management, health education and wellness promotion, governance, administration and more.
