ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ to host 2024 Family Weekend on Sept. 20–22
Binghamton students and families invited to join the celebration
ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ Parent and Family Programs is hosting its annual Family Weekend celebrations beginning on Friday, Sept. 20, inviting all Binghamton students and their families to join the celebration. An array of events and activities are planned to entertain, educate and engage students and families as they take in a snapshot of the robust culture, academic excellence and infectious energy of the University’s vibrant campus.
is open until Sunday, Sept. 15, but families will also be able to register in person on Friday, Sept. 20, or Saturday, Sept. 21. For more information, visit the Family Weekend website or the Family Weekend Hub located on the B-Engaged app, called CampusGroups.
As families arrive, they are required to check in at the Mandela Room, located in The Union. Check-in will take place from 4–7 p.m. Friday and from 7:30 a.m.–noon Saturday. After checking in, families can enjoy fun, engaging activities, delicious treats and entertainment in select residential communities and campus buildings on Friday evening. Note that certain events require advance registration or additional ticket purchase; visit the Family Weekend website for more information.
Join Parent and Family Programs at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Watters Theater as President Harvey Stenger joins David Cohan, chair of the Parents Leadership Council, to welcome everyone to ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ. Admission is free with Family Weekend registration, but seats are limited and will be first-come, first-serve.
On Saturday afternoon, join Baxter the Bearcat in the Events Center for Baxter’s Lunch and Spirit Celebration. Enjoy this extravaganza filled with ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ spirit, music, tabling, activities, T-shirt toss, contests, prizes and more! Tickets are required, so be sure to register ahead of time. There will be performances by the Dance Team, Cheer Team, Spirit Squads, Pep Band, ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ athletes and Baxter! Pose for a family photo with all of your Binghamton gear in the Events Center Tau Room.
