Janel Farrell
Resident Director, Residential Life
Hey Hey! My name is Janel Farrell and I am currently a Resident Director at Binghamton University. I received my Bachelors degree in Human Services Management and minored in Psychology from SUNY Alfred State College. During my time in undergrad, I was a drill captain for my step & stroll club, a Resident Assistant for 3 years, I've mentored the EOP summer prep program for 2 summers, was the VP for Diversity, Equity, and Belonging, a SUNY EOP Ambassador, and was a tour guide with the Admissions department (that's just to name a few initiatives). Shortly after graduation, I was an Admissions Counselor in the NYC area and then became a Resident Director at Alfred State College. All in all, I aspire to work with people, either in the college setting or in a children's hospital, utilizing an MSW degree. Aside from my professional life and aspirations, I enjoy shopping, reading, cooking, and baking. My favorite show of all time is Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit and one day, I will purchase all 25 seasons on DVD as a keepsake! I also enjoy traveling and plan to indulge in journaling, blogging, and adding to a travel scrapbook!
