The fifth and final Bitcoin Studies Spring 2025 workshop is arguably the mostimportant of the semester: held in the Watson School of Engineering鈥檚 fabricationlab, you will learn how to mine Bitcoin using ASICs donated by Foundry Digitalfor educational purposes. In this lab, you will, moreover, see how mining Bitcoinand other proof-of-work currencies will create a greener and moreenvironmentally sustainable economy by vastly reducing overall global energyneeds through decentralized processes that incentivize the green capture of lostenergy, the recycling and sharing of heat, and a socially equitable currency.听

Whatever your position on Bitcoin is, whatever your interest is, whatever yourexisting knowledge is, you are welcome into our Bitcoin Studies workshops. Wehave five formal workshops per semester. If you attend all five, you will be part ofthe only university cohort in the country earning a comprehensive skillset inBitcoin, from Bitcoin basics to running nodes, mining, and more.听
