Manuscript Review Workshop
Call for applications
Deadline April 17, 2023
Email proposals to amoore@binghamton.edu
The Citizenship, Rights and Cultural Belonging TAE invites proposals for manuscript
review workshop(s) to be held this fall. The goal of the program is to support monograph
publications and research excellence by Binghamton faculty members as well as to encourage
tenure and promotion.
If you are finishing (or close to finishing) a monograph this summer, the workshop
will provide a supportive and generative review to strengthen the manuscript before
submission for publication.
The workshop will consist of the author plus 2-3 Binghamton faculty members and an
invited external reviewer. All participants will read the manuscript in advance of
the 3-hour workshop. The workshop may be conducted online if conditions prohibit travel
and face-to-face engagement. The focus will be on constructive and generative feedback
for the author to strengthen the manuscript for submission and publication.
TAE funding will cover the travel costs (if applicable) and honorarium for the external
reviewer and a modest research award of up to $200 each for Binghamton reviewers.
The CRCB TAE anticipates making multiple workshop awards.
