How you can support the University Art Museum

Since it opened as a gallery in 1967, the ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ Art Museum has received over 4,500 works of art as donations. These gifts have come from generous alumni, faculty, staff, community members and other friends, as well as from grants from the State University of New York.

If you would like to know more about donating a work of art or a collection, contact the University Art Museum director, Diane Butler, at dbutler@binghamton.edu.

Every gift is important but some individuals prefer to give cash so we can purchase pieces to enhance certain collections or maintain works in the permanent collection. In addition, some donors choose to provide funding for programming within the museum.

When you are developing your personal philanthropic plan, please consider these two funds that support the ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ Art Museum:

Art in Education

This fund helps us to design and implement educational programming. For a modest gift of $500 you can underwrite an exhibition curated by a ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ student. Your donation will provide support for re-mounting artwork, printing labels and text panels, as well as for the publication of gallery guides designed to accompany the exhibition. Gifts to this fund of less than $500 will be combined to achieve this important priority.

Please print the attached donation form (.pdf, 172kb) and mail your payment to the Art Museum.

Binghamton Fund for the University Art Museum

We partner with the Binghamton Fund, the University's annual giving program, to secure affordable cash gifts that address the museum's most immediate needs. These gifts allow us to mount temporary exhibitions, acquire works of art and improve our facility. Gifts to the Binghamton Fund for the University Art Museum help us to offer visitors the opportunity to experience the world through the eyes, minds and creative interventions of artists who have worked across the ages.

Your generous support enables the museum to pursue its mission of teaching using original works of art. Charitable donations to the ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ Art Museum are made through The Foundation of the State University of New York at Binghamton, Inc. Your gift is tax deductible as allowed by law.
