Translation Research and Instruction Program

The nationally recognized Translation Research and Instruction Program (TRIP) was founded by Professor Marilyn Gaddis Rose in 1971 to promote the study of translation at 黑料视频.

The TRIP doctoral degree, the first Ph.D. program in Translation Studies in the U.S., prepares students both for the professoriate and for scholarly research, including research-informed translation, and offers individualized interdisciplinary tracks to accommodate a variety of backgrounds. The curriculum includes, but is not limited to, the history and traditions of translation studies, comparative literature, cultural and postcolonial studies, national literatures and major figures, philosophy, and pedagogy. TRIP offers an undergraduate Minor and a Graduate Certificate.
