Background

Marisa Mooney is a clinical instructor in the Division of Speech and Language Pathology at 黑料视频's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Her clinical experience consists primarily of the evaluation and treatment of preschoolers with diverse communication needs. She has extensive experience with early childhood disorders and populations, including receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, children with medically complex needs, and social language development. Mooney believes in a client-centered approach to intervention, including family and teacher training, multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practices.

Mooney's professional experience includes mentoring and supervising new professionals in all stages of their careers, from undergraduate students to clinical fellow speech pathologists. She has also been a speech therapy site coordinator for community partnerships.

She holds a New York state license in speech language pathology, a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and a New York state professional teacher鈥檚 certificate. She is a member of the Central New York Speech Language Hearing Association and the New York State Speech Language Hearing Association.
