R is a free software, a powerful tool for analyzing and visualizing data. It is widely used by academics and companies. This workshop will introduce beginners to data analysis using R. We cover simple data structures, data types, and basic functions to interpret, graph, and present data. No prior knowledge of R or statistics is required.

Dr. Rodriguez will walk us through his Binghamton experience, medical school, residency, fellowship and career as an emergency medicine physician and assistant medical director. Dr. Rodriguez will answer questions from students.
Dr. Rodriguez majored in biological sciences and earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine in Syracuse. He completed an internship and residency in emergency medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Rodriguez is an emergency medicine physician with clinical and leadership experience working at academic and community-based emergency departments, urgent care centers, and with adult and pediatric patients. He is the Assistant Medical Director and EMS Director at Teamhealth.
