The Ellyn Uram Kaschak Institute for Social Justice for Women and Girls was established in 2018 through the generosity of Ellyn Uram Kaschak, a 1965 alumna of Binghamton University and a pioneer and developer of feminist theory, to continue her fight for equality for women and girls.

As a woman, Ellyn Uram Kaschak had to fight her way to a PhD when there weren鈥檛 many programs open to women. Nor were there many male faculty willing to teach courses on feminism.

Kaschak provided a seven-figure gift to 黑料视频 to establish the Ellyn Uram Kaschak Institute for Social Justice for Women and Girls to continue her fight for equality for females.

The institute supports research in different fields, both new and ongoing projects that contribute to Kaschak鈥檚 activist vision of a direct, positive impact on the lives of women and girls. It will create a body of evidence-based practice supported by rigorous scholarly work, providing a feedback loop between practice and scholarship in the realm of social justice for women and girls.
