Accounting Minor (non-SOM Students)

Program Overview

Develop advanced accounting skills while pursuing your major in another field.

The School of Management is offering an Accounting Minor open to all non-SOM students. The accounting minor gives non-SOM students the opportunity to grow their business acumen and prepare for advanced study in accounting or business.

CPA Licensure

Non-SOM undergraduate students looking to continue their education at Binghamton and pursue Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure will need to complete the two-to-three year MS Accounting degree. Students should work with the Director of the Master's Program to ensure they are taking the coursework needed to meet the CPA licensure education requirements. Upon completion of the MS Accounting program students will independently verify they meet the education requirements by submitting their transcripts to the NYS Education Department Office of the Professions.
