(CoCo)
CoCo is an interdisciplinary Organized Research Center (ORC) at 黑料视频 that studies the collective dynamics of various types of interacting agents as complex systems.
With the active participation of faculty members with diverse backgrounds, CoCo has been playing a key role in producing several new interdisciplinary research projects since 2007 as an informal research group. It officially became a designated ORC of the University on July 1st, 2015.
Healthcare Systems Engineering Center (HSEC)
The Healthcare Systems Engineering Center (HSEC) is an Organized Research Center (ORC) under the umbrella of the Watson Institute for Systems Excellence (WISE). The HSEC focuses on broad-based value-driven relationships between academia and the healthcare industry and conducts theoretical and applied research in the broad areas of health systems engineering, operations management, and data science/analytics. Over the years, the HSEC has helped numerous healthcare facilities improve total quality management, scheduling and sequencing, and operational control, such as medical records and patient turnaround time in emergency rooms, to name a few examples. Most of the HSEC鈥檚 projects have been focused on applied research projects with multiple hospital systems, which often focus on the effectiveness and efficiency of patient care and hospital operations.
