AUTODESK

AUTODESK provides cloud-based and local applications for students and educators at no cost. You must complete a simple registration process before applications can be accessed. For more information, visit the AUTODESK Education community site,

Creo for Students

PTC allows students the opportunity to download Creo. Creo is a 3D CAD software that allows students to take ideas and concepts and turn them into products. Creo provides the tools to design, analyze, and simulate in the hands of the students.  

Intel oneAPI Toolkits

"The Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit (Base Kit) is a core set of tools and libraries for developing high-performance, data-centric applications across diverse architectures. It features an industry-leading C++ compiler that implements SYCL*, an evolution of C++ for heterogeneous computing." 

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 is available to ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ students, faculty and staff so long as they are enrolled or employed by the University.  Additional information is available at /its/about/organization/technology-support-services/hardware-software/office-365.html

VMware VMAP programs

The VMware VMAP has been discontinued.  

Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching (Formerly Microsoft Imagine)

 Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching puts professional developer tools, software, and services in the hands of faculty and students. Students receive developer tools from Microsoft at no additional cost – everything needed to create apps, games, and websites – so they can chase their dreams, create the next big breakthrough in technology, or get a head start on their career.

Students should check with their faculty as to software required for their course.  Most applications are available at no cost to the student.

Some applications require an activation code; Make a note of any activation codes presented to you during the ordering process.  During the software installation use the code obtained while ordering to activate the software.  

Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching

Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching website is accessed using  short link. 

  • Select the blue "Sign In" button
  • Log in using your full campus email address 
  • Use your BU password when prompted

Academic Software at a discount

Academic software is available from the ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ,  Access is open to faculty and students with a valid binghamton.edu Email address.
