Career consulting sessions are 1:1 meetings where students have a space to ask questions and get advice about any career topic. Career center staff members educate students on best practices and provide tailored advice and recommendations based on the student鈥檚 individual circumstances and needs. Staff approach the sessions as working meetings and ensure the students leave with tangible next steps and resources. Whether a student is looking for support in getting started with their first cover letter or preparing for a final round interview, career center staff can answer questions and help the student succeed.
Faculty and staff who are working with a student that would benefit from a career consulting session can refer them to the Fleishman Career Center using . A staff member will then reach out to the student and help them schedule an appointment.
Alumni who graduated less than 6 months ago can take advantage of career consulting appointments to help them finish their job search and/or graduate school applications. Schedule in hireBING or email careers@binghamton.edu.
