The University Counseling Center (UCC) strives to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students. We recognize that 黑料视频 students have a variety of intersecting identities, including age, ethnic/racial and cultural identity, religion/spirituality, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, socio-economic status, nationality, body shape/size, and ability. We strive to help students explore and affirm the importance of their identities and life experiences with regard to diversity, and how this might relate to the questions and issues students would like to address in counseling.
We recognize that students encounter barriers in the form of stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination and oppression, and deal with issues related to power and privilege that significantly affect their well-being. We understand that these barriers may affect access to and experience of our services, and we are committed to helping overcome these barriers in a respectful, affirming and educational manner.
The UCC staff members value our own diversity, challenge each other's biases and support one another in providing more multiculturally competent services. We understand that our progress toward multicultural competence is an ongoing process, and we support and challenge each other's journey through dialogue and professional development.
