Zu-yan Chen, professor of Asian and Asian American Studies, has published a book, Cultural Chinese: Readings in Art, Literature, and History (co-authored with Hong Zhang, Georgetown University Press, 2012). In addition, he gave keynote lectures on 鈥淎 New Approach to Cultural Integration in Teaching Chinese鈥� at Portland State University, the University at Buffalo, York University in Canada, and Nankai University in China.

Martin Bidney, professor emeritus of English and comparative literature, has published an English verse rendition of the translation by Maria Vera Properzi-Altschuler of Divine Adventure: The Fantastic Adventures of Dante by Ernesto Cerni and Francesca Gambino, illustrations by Maria Distefano, Brooklyn: Idea Publications, 2012.
