Zu-yan Chen, professor of Asian and Asian American Studies, has published a book, Cultural Chinese: Readings in Art, Literature, and History (co-authored with Hong Zhang, Georgetown University Press, 2012). In addition, he gave keynote lectures on 鈥淎 New Approach to Cultural Integration in Teaching Chinese鈥 at Portland State University, the University at Buffalo, York University in Canada, and Nankai University in China.

Hong Zhang, instructor of Asian and Asian American Studies, has published a book, Cultural Chinese: Readings in Art, Literature, and History (co-authored with Zu-yan Chen, Georgetown University Press, 2012). She gave workshops on 鈥淭eaching Chinese through Song鈥 at the National Chinese Language Conference, Annual Meeting of the Chinese Language Teachers Association-Greater New York, Kennesaw State University, Portland State University, University at Buffalo, University of Virginia, York University in Canada, and at Nankai University and Zhejiang University in China. Zhang also gave lecture-recitals on 鈥淐hinese Ethnic Groups and Their Songs鈥 at the United States Naval Academy, Portland State University, York University, and University of Toronto at Scarborough in Canada, and Nankai University in China.
